About Us!
The Chino Valley Unified School District # 51 represents four school facilities in the Town of Chino Valley, is located 90 miles North of Phoenix, Arizona and encompasses 421 square miles. Del Rio Elementary (constructed in 1982) and Territorial Elementary (constructed in 1999) house Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students.  Both schools house fully equipped Internet accessible computer labs,  full gymnasiums and have both breakfast and lunch programs.

Heritage Middle School embraces the true middle school concept for Sixth through Eighth graders. Its award winning band and choral programs enroll over half of the school's students. Two County Teachers of the Year and Two Channel 3 Silver Apple Teacher Award winners are on the HMS Faculty.

Located in the center of town, Chino Valley High School offers a comprehensive academic education that includes the arts, and an extensive extracurricular program.  We pride ourselves in our ability to challenge the most able students as well as providing opportunities for success for the less able. Our academic program includes Honors Programs in Math, English, Social Studies and Spanish.  Our vocational programs in Agriculture, Business, and Culinary Arts have received national recognition. Our music and art programs have received many state awards.  Our partnership with Yavapai College has provided many students with additional academic and career and technical education opportunities. Our commitment to technology use has created five computer lab environments for students. Our parents have web-based access to student attendance, grades, and teacher email.

The District operates under the supervision of a five member Governing Board and one District Superintendent. The District presently employs 231 administrative, certified and support staff.

Our schools have won many awards including National Blue Ribbon, the State Champion on the Presidential Physical Fitness program, and we are designated a State Fine Arts Site.

Tax Credit
A.R.S. 43-1089 allows a tax credit of up to $200 for individuals and $400 for married couples filing jointly, for fees or donations paid to a public school in support of extracurricular activities. Giving a Tax Credit to your school of choice reduces your state tax to Arizona, dollar for dollar. It also reduces your taxable income to the federal government, usually by 1/3 of your donation.
This is a win-win for you and your school!  A sincere thank you goes out to all of you who supported our students in 2010. In 2011 using a tax credit is a great way to choose how you support Drama, Athletics, Music, Art, Field Trips, Special Needs, Future Farmers of America or any number of clubs and groups at Chino Valley Schools.
Making Your Donation:    Download and complete the 2011 Tax Credit Form 2011 Tax Credit Form.pdf and send it along with your check or credit card data. CVUSD will send a receipt for your records. Or you can come by any school office and pickup a donation form.
